but this Berber scenery is very different.

An extended
recreational excursion, destination Qasar al Haj
and beyond.

Sun, sand, sarnie and
a mug of cha, time for refreshments on the journey.

Another tea break but nearing the high
ground meant a change of dress.
‘Caps comforter warm’ were donned by the intrepid explorers as the
temperature started to drop.

The transport takes a
breather during the climb.
|
|
|
|
Looking down on the
lads and the individual terraced plots of land.
|
|
|
|
|
Not a drop of water was
ever wasted when it was time for another brew.
|
|
|
|
For the body, cleanliness is next to
Godliness, even if it is getting colder, but mess tins can be scoured with
handfuls of clean sand after a meal.
Just make sure there’s none left in them before the next meal.

|
Desert hospitality is
extended to the local population.
|
|
|
|
Camels, cattle and
herders on the move.
|
|
|
|
|
And so to bed.
