Don THURGAR's Photo Album. AAS Arborfield Intake 47B. Contributed
by: Michael THURGAR, son of the late Don THURGAR Don THURGAR was born on 9th January 1932. He enlisted in 1947
(i.e. Intake 47B) and trained as an Apprentice Vehicle Mechanic at AAS Arborfield. He subsequently served in UK, Korea,
Singapore 1954-1955, and Hilden (BAOR) 1957. Michael was born in Singapore; his younger sisters: Linda
in Hilden, and Carol in Hounslow, Middlesex. In circa 1960 Don completed his Regular Army service, and in
1968 he and his family emigrated from UK to Australia settling in Frankston,
Victoria, where he died on Michael, who now lives in Canberra, Australian Capital
Territory, would be pleased to hear from anyone who knew and served with Don. Note: Don’s Regular
Army Certificate of Service (AB64 Part 1) appears on his documents page. Undated - AAS Arborfield.
