Any mention of ‘Little California in England’ will stir the memories
of many an ex-Arborfield Army Apprentice. Located near to the garrison, in
Finchampstead, Berkshire, it provided a welcome break away from the rigours
of camp life. But there are other ‘Californias in England’ and the article below
