For the sixth time the annual A.O.B.A. Reunion took
place at the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas
in Staffordshire. That these reunions
take place at all is down to the hard work of our committee of volunteers,
who put in many hours and much effort.
A sincere vote of thanks to them. Unfortunately, my visit this year was cancelled by
unfair wear and tear so the events of the Saturday Muster, Parade and Service
of Remembrance are covered by our ‘September 49er’ Max Warwick. Thanks Max. Any information on the event would be gratefully

Friday, the gathering in.
|
The accommodation this year was at the Hallmark Mickleover
Court Hotel near Derby. The weather in
the lead up to the event seemed set fair but, remembering the vagaries which
beset the previous reunions, fingers and everything else were tightly
crossed.
