Saturday Arrivals And Muster.

The weather pattern was closely following that of
last year. Saturday dawned slightly overcast and the forecast was for lower
temperatures with a breeze. With
that news we set off from home and arrived in time to take some liquid
refreshment on board before the proceedings got under way. Having passed on making any plans or
reservations, we were visitors classed as ‘general public’ by the NMA. There was just one official attendee for
52A and we met up with him, our good friend Bill Gibson.
Reception was at the National
Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire. The Friday contingent was bussed in from
the hotel and those travelling freestyle collected their documents and
badges here.
The weather forecaster hadn’t quite got it right, there
was a steady downpour, and it was to continue throughout the activities of
the morning. The photos tell the
