With the loss of the facilities at our home ground of Arborfield, the Reunion was relocated to the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas in Staffordshire. Major changes had to be made regarding the provision of accommodation for those attending the event, but it was essential that the traditions of the reunion, built up over many years, should be honoured. Thanks to the hard work of our committee of volunteers, who put in many hours and much effort, the reunion could be deemed a success by the majority of those attending. Just as the Arborfield event was honed over a period of years, so will it be at Alrewas. This first one has laid down a marker. Unfortunately, my visit was curtailed by the advance of years and nature, and so this year the story is told mainly in photographs. Friday, the gathering in.

The accommodation this year was at the Barcelo Hinckley Island 4 star hotel, a far cry from the Spartan comfort of Arborfield. No doubt the ladies would appreciate the change of venue.
