COLLECTION

“This collection of
181 military badges was assembled by my father, Idris James Barwick, over a period of years and I am pleased to
see them on display where they can be viewed by anybody with an interest in
the history of the army. My Father’s story can be read at http://www.intheshadowofdeath.com/ It shows why our
Barwick family are so proud of him.
I am rather humbled at some of these regiments being over 600 years
old and am honoured to have served in the same army. The regiments have seen many
amalgamations and some of the origins and dates are lost in the mists of
time. If you can add to or correct the dates then please contact the editor of the web site so
that we may make the record as accurate as possible.” Bob
