Arborfield Army Apprentices School.

1945 – 1948 Photograph Collection.

Contributed by: Clive WAGSTAFF (65C)

Editor’s Note.

This group of photographs and documents, obtained by Clive, appears to be linked to Intake 45A and up to their Passing Out Parade in 1948.  They arrived at the Arborfield Army Technical School (Boys), and left from the Arborfield Army Apprentices School.  During that period, major changes took place, including the introduction of a new badge, the start of the ‘Champion Company’ competition and the formation of the Pipe Band.  The photos in particular need the details added to them to be seen as valid archives.  If you can help with information then please contact  ‘The Editor’.  All input is very welcome and highly valued.

On site we have five of the first six editions of the school magazine ‘The Arborfield Apprentice’ which are relevant to this collection of photos.  Each magazine is related to the photos below and can be read by clicking on the links in each series.
